I can’t really say anything about this now, I would like to see the scale of this with Part, R6 and Rthro character if you can.

Okay, sure will do. Let me post it in a few minutes

So?

First of all nice job on your house. However i do have some advice so you can improve your building even more.

  1. You should add some plants, trees, flowers, fence and some paths. You should add some of those details to your house!!

  2. You should add, a porch to the front door and you could add door handle to it. You should also lower the roof a little bit not to much…

  3. Add a door frame to the house, door and you can also add another window. In the middle of the house and and also make sure to center your windows!!

Add

  • Bushes

  • Plants

  • Paths

  • Grass

  • And other suggestion i gave you at the top of the post.

Fix

Looks good just a little things to add to improve your building. More!

Thanks! I will do those, but I don’t now how to do those things, but I’ll fix those issues you found.

It seems that you aren’t yet experienced builder so I will tell you what simple to change so you can understand me - if you would still don’t understand something, use a ROBLOX Developer Hub, it will sure help you. My critique and tips on this house are:

  1. The house looks too cartoony and have only few elements. - Make the house with materials, I think you should add more thing to it like garage, garden or greenhouse, bell in front of the door, stairs (make the house higher up and basis taller then), trees growing next to the house, path, fences etc. and some details like flowers, bushes, visible grass growing next to it.*
  2. You can’t see anything throught the windows and frames of it are too thick. - change these “windows” material from Plastic (or what material you have on them currently) to Glass and change their Transparency to 0.5 or 0.3. Also, these frames should be thin, but still visible.
  3. Change the colors to little darker. - Colors are too bright for me, change the colors to darker and don’t forget to turn on ShadowMap.
  4. Doors’ and windows’ other problems… - These windows need windowsills (you can add on them flowers in pots also) and need to be a little concave, doors also need to be it.
  5. Make a little “roof” up to the door with columns. - I think of then, this will look kinda prettier.

Also, I’m 100% agreeing with all of @jordonh23’s other changes and opinions.

Thanks, for the help! I appreciate it!

Hey, Builder. It’s me, ckshap!

Anyways, your house is pretty basic by its own. Maybe add some detail to it?

Before I start, are we able to have a little bit of information on the style of house you are making. Having this information will allow us to keep our improvements more specific. Lets say you want your house highly detailed, you would add lots of detail and textures. However if you are going for a more cartoony look, you would have less detail and avoid using textures.

Improvements

  • The colour of the roof should be changed as you never see green roofs. It could be changed to more of a browny/grey colour.

  • You could maybe add some bricks to the house to give it that little bit more detail. Here is a little example of what I mean, this was built very quickly:

  • I also think that bottom green bit looks very odd. I think if you make it grey it would look a lot better.

I am not sure how much experience you have with building so I will try my best to answer your question. If something ins’t decent, you can always improve on it and make it better. Making a games is very similar as the first game you make will be awful then as you get better your games will get better. Don’t just give up on making games just because your build isn’t the best as it is better to make an awful game and learn something than not make one at all.I am not saying your build is bad as this is just an example.

I am more of a programmer than a builder but this point is the same for both. Building and programming as well, just takes lots of practice and motivation to keep going. With building, getting inspiration from images help lots of builders out.

It is gonna depend on on what style you are going for.
If you are going for low poly, I have an example of a house I made some months ago.

Here you also see those “bricks” as @waterrunner suggested. Maybe as a reference.

If you go for a more realistic style, make use of various materials for walls and roof, especially change the colors and add some detail.

Nice job on the house! I recommend making the windows a bit transparent
