Hello! I’m making a horror game called Sunny. It’s a piggy-style game, but I want it to feel less like a ripoff and more like its own thing. I’ve tried this by adding a gem system, adding things that Piggy lacked and changing things that annoyed me about Piggy. It’s almost complete, but I realised a few days ago that I don’t know what else to do to make it feel more unique. It doesn’t yet have that twist that I wanted, and it still feels like a piggy-style game.
I came up with a cool twist the other day which I’m currently working on, where you have two views, normal view and monster view. In normal view the monster and traps and such are invisible, and the only way to see them is to look for the footsteps on the ground. In monster view you can see the monsters and traps, but you have a sanity metre that runs down. When the metre runs out then you can’t move for 20 seconds. But this is hard to make and I don’t want to waste time on something which isn’t fun or doesn’t add much to the game, so I’m putting it on hold until I get some feedback
I’d love it if you guys could play it and give me some feedback on the game or even some features to make it better -
I will private the game after 10ish days, as I don’t wanna release it yet but I gotta get some feedback soon.
