Feudal Life 2022 Update
A few changes since the last update… I might have missed some things.
Mobs
- Mobs are generally smoother and more optimized. Really, the game is generally more optimized ping-wise. FPS is still a work in progress.
- There are a few new mobs with their own logic and drops.
- Added a few bosses.
- Added sharks.
Magic
- Magic has been implemented in the game. Depending on when you read them, they will be mostly/partial revamped skill wise.
- Crystals have been added to the game. Crystals are similar to devil fruits from one piece, they hold a magical power… They currently spawn randomly under a random tree. This system will be improved in the near future.
Consumables
- Potions were re-added to the game along with a few new potions.
- Food is more useful in combat. Some foods will give you some health.
Crafting & Gathering
- Added two new skill lines: Fishing and Mining. Leveling up your fishing will reduce the time it takes you on average to reel in fishes while leveling up your mining will reduce the time it takes to mine an ore.
- Added enchants which can be applied to some crafted items.
- Depending on your crafting level, you have a chance of crafting a better version of the item you’re crafting which is represented by a +x in front of the item’s name. This will boost the item’s overall stats.
- The market has been updated to support these new changes to crafting and enchants. Additionally, information about who crafted the item will be shown when then a user purchases said item from the market.
Progression
- Working on making PvE more viable as a means of progression. Currently, quests provide a fair amount of souls (fruits) compared to the paid version without taking excessively long.
- There are now a few more quests added to the game. They’re essentially higher risk high reward (meaning, you can get better fruits by doing these quests)
- Added a visual ranking system which hints at how many souls a player has. This is to possibly reduce random ganking. (subject to change to a better system)
- Removed the wiping mechanic and made the absolute minimum number of souls you can have five. You also start at five meaning if you get gripped as a freshie, you will not lose any souls on paper.
- If you obtain significantly negative skill points, the game will remove the last skill you bought to refund you sp.
- Skill upgrades no longer increase damage but rather reduce the skill’s cooldown by a certain amount. Upgrades also now go up to three maximum.
Combat
- PB heal was mostly reduced and does not work on mobs anymore to reduce cheesing.
- When you knock somebody, you will gain a health pack. Killing a mob will also give you a health pack but less than if you killed a player.
Conquest
- Conquest nodes currently provide passife influence and will also increase your yen/exp rate depending on the node you acquire
- You are also able to quick travel between conquest nodes.
- In other words, you will gain more yen from doing quests for example if your clan has conquered multiple conquest nodes.
Drip / Items
- Added a bunch of “new” hats, masks, clothing, etc back into the game.
- You can now hover over items to have a look at their exact properties
Deities
- Deities are given to players who meet a certain criteria. There are only a few deities in the entire game at a time, meaning, even if a player meets the criteria to be granted the power of a deity, he won’t be elected if the number of deity spots are full.
- The next deity is given to whichever player has the most “Influence.” The player must also be of ascended status.
- Inactive deities will automatically be demoted by the game. Gripping a deity will allow you to steal their deity powers for yourself.
- “Inactivity” is very inactive, if you play the game, you don’t have to worry about this.
Ascending
- Ascending is a new feature which adds more risk vs reward at endgame. If you decide to ascend, you will gain a small buff in damage/health at the risk of losing a significant amount of souls if you die.
- It is necessary to ascend to go past the natural soul cap.
- Ascending is completely optional. You should have enough skill points to make a build without ascending.
Influence
- Influence is a new stat in the game which will primarily be used for clan mechanics (not implemented yet). I won’t go too much into this but just know that you need a lot of influence to become a deity.
- Influence resets every month.
Clans
- Clans are going to have a bit more features in the near future.
- Clans now have proper quest sharing. Clan members can do quests at a faster pace together.
- Clans now utilize Roblox groups. Please check #faq in the community server for more information.
Death Note
- Death Note is a small feature and doesn’t really add much to the game but may be beneficial to some players.
- Anytime you get killed by a player, their name will be added to your death note. Killing a player that exists in your death note will have it removed from your book. This is essentially a revenge mechanic.
