Over the past couple weeks I’ve been learning how to model in blender, as I’ve always wanted to be able to provide assets myself and not have to rely on others all the time.
A few days ago I decided to sit down and see what I could do with what I learned, in a few day small project. A calm, relatively empty medieval dining hall. I know it’s not perfect and there are a lot of flaws, but I like the way it came out for my first attempt at making something entirely myself, and wanted to show it.
So here it is, I also provided the lighting settings I used at the bottom of the album too in case you were curious.
I took shots both in grayscale and in color, as I couldn’t decide on which.
What’s with the table texture? seems like a rooftop texture.
The lightray coming from that window high up the wall doesn’t seem very good btw. What would such a vase be doing in the middle of a table btw? I think another type of vase would be more fit. it’s a pretty big vase. The lightrays should probably have a tint of color too. the dust particles are too big too. I like how the shadow from the window casts over the chair though.
The plant and candles were just for filler as it wasn’t an active table and was just from a castle dining hall reference I found. Dust particles are only a tad big because otherwise roblox wasn’t wanting to render them at a decent distance. Thanks for your feedback
A pretty good start I’d say. I think a simple improvement to the scene would be to make the table top thicker. As it is I wouldn’t put any weight on it.
Thanks sorry I didn’t get back.
Everything will be able to look a lot nicer once arseny’s new lighting comes, until then all this stuff is ridiculously tedious
Well, it’s not like I haven’t touched modeling or roblox tools before. Sure I’m very new to it but this my first showcase in that it was the first build I’ve made that wasn’t for any specific game or project, just for fun.
