Buttons

There are five (5) buttons at the top of the gui. In order, they go from Microphone, Mode Charlie, Ident, Flight Plan, and Minimize. Each of the button will serve a purpose come flying at the airport.

  • Mic [T]

    • This button will serve as your microphone control. When enabled, anything you type in chat will be logged within the radio for all other radio users to see. For ease, a hotkey of “T” is used to turn on or off the microphone.
  • Mode C

    • This button will serve as Mode Charlie for your aircraft. Prior to movement of the aircraft, you MUST enable Mode Charlie. This is important for the Air Traffic Controller to spot you on his or her radar screen.
    • Having Mode Charlie disabled while movement can result in consequences, as determined by the Department of Aviation.
  • Ident [Not Live]

    • This button will alert the active Air Traffic Controller of your location. This should only be used upon request of the controller ONLY.
  • Flight Plan

    • Clicking this button will open your flight plan diolog. There is information on this dialogue on a separate section within this document.
  • -

    • This will minimize PilotBox to a single bar. Useful when not needed.
