This is my first animal model I made on Blender.
Feedback? I would also like to know how to get rid of the blocky character of it for next time.
The block part is shown here:
The chest is very blocky and not as round as I want it to be. I tried using loopcuts.etc but it didn’t seem to work too well, any other ways?

Use subdivision surface. You could also shade it smooth but you don’t have many quads so the shading would look kind of weird.

The modifier make its less blocky for sure but is there a way to do while still keeping a very low part count ?

Add the modifier and then shade it smooth.

Add some loopcuts to clean up the subdivide.

Looks good! His beak + head needs work though, beak should be discolored and should be smaller because when you start doing touches it’ll look really weird. Also the feet look like bones and are quite long. It’s cute. Good job
