Hey there,
This is my first attempt to create a “cool” looking thumbnail. Not sure but, I really like it. Would love to have some opinions of you guys too!
Thanks!

Can’t really tell what the game’s about from the thumbail…
Game images should really give some kind of clue about the game’s content. The “Do or Die” leads me to believe it’s a shooter game, but that’s too unspecific (if that’s even what kind of game it is).
That’s the whole point of this one. You should be starting to think about it. This one isn’t meant to reveal a lot of the game. It’s more supposed to give a “artic” wasteland feeling.
I don’t think I would click this thumbnail.

Thumbnails aren’t an artistic platform that people are going to think deeply about. They’re advertisements. You need to use them to actively sell your games, not just suggest “hey look at this blob, so mysterious right, join an see what it is”.
Look at that beauty. It’s not stylish or cool but it’s an awesome advertisement - unique font, easy to read text, bright colors, and branding. All it’s really missing is a call to action.
As Ethan said, advertising isn’t something which is meaningful. It’s a different kind of art form which is supposed to interest people. Not intrigue people. The design as it stands is a marvelous background, however some vignette or scene of some sort for a foreground would make it much more appealing. Vagueness and ambiguity are huge no-nos for attention. It’s kinda like the terms of service for something. Your eyes just skim right over anything of the sort. If you want people to click your game it has to jump out!
no offense, but the thumbnail is pretty bland. Nothing visually interesting like high contrast areas. If somehow you can get the colors just right and create the “it moves when you move your eyes” illusion (which is contrast based), you will probably have an insanely clickable ad.
