First custom sword I made using modelling software!

Hi, Tophat here.

Recently I randomly wanted to try make meshes, where I can change their materials and colours. I decided to start by altering existing meshes, where I used the Linked Sword mesh.

Now, as I was unwilling to use Blender as I thought it was a big jump from Roblox, I decided to use Vectary to edit. I separated the sword mesh into 5 different parts, and altered some areas to make it somewhat unique. When importing back to Studio, coloured it so it looked like a bootleg Crucible sword. For my first model (technically, since I DID edit parts of the original mesh), I’m quite proud of it.

Anyways, enough talk. Time to show it!

its ok. the image is low quality, the handle is literally metal, the handle and stuff looks too heavy and stuff compared to the sword and stuff, the crossguard has a weird shape and the handle and hilt is too wide.

Now that I think of it, I should probably extend the blade a bit more since the proportions look kinda weird. The crossguard looks like that because I tried taking inspiration from Doom Eternal’s Crucible for part of it. Assume the person holding it can defy physics.

Oh and what should I use in place of metal for the grip? Wood? Fabric? A custom texture?

Looks pretty cool, but does it make a noise when you swing it!? Hahah, even if it doesn’t it looks well made.

I like the neon! Although it could be longer!

Beautiful sword!

The only thing you need to do to make it look like a lightsaber, is increase the neon light, make a swinging sound, and make the blade longer

I haven’t programmed it to be a tool yet, that would have to wait a bit, as I also have to push out an update for a game of mine.

I’ve already got a good concept for the tool, though.

It looks amazing, I am extremely amazed especially now that it is your first sword. It may look too big for the character when you hold it as a gear, from what I am imagining.
Otherwise, great job overall!

one of those, and have the handle and these stuff have more 3d parts like weaves
