First GFX Challenge

I decided to do a challenge where I make a GFX for the first time with no experience and no tutorials. Feedback?

I love the shading on the bottom and how it reflects onto the wall, you nailed the lighting

Thank You! I used the cycles render engine when I was playing around and I think that helped.

I really like the detail with the shadows casting onto the wall, but it looks like he’s levitating over the ground? Maybe you could change it so that he’s in a more realistic pose?

I have no idea how to move the avatar’s legs and stuff so I just made it stand up. Sorry for the late reply it took a while to move the camera and render it.

So I fixed the wall stuff and made the avatar not floating.

The Lighting the perfect but the character looks like its floating, maybe try moving the rig down a bit next time

I just realized the legs at the back are not aligned now it looks weird…

Since its your first time making a gfx, 10/10!

If the character isn’t supposed to be floating then lower it so it touches the ground. (you can use snapping tool to do that) The walls also looks unrealistic and suggest beveling them or adding trims to them. The lighting is also pretty bad and suggest fixing it by adding more light to the scene to better lit the character. The pose also looks like hes dead and would suggest having him stand up other than lying down. The only really gfx shots I can really think of you would have a character lay down is either on a couch or on some grass. If you have access to asset libraries, I would buy some plants to place it into this. Theres also tons of free pbr textures so many use it for your render. Although as @aceoddballl said, it’s your first time so it’s not too bad and good luck on your future renders

I love the shadow and the lighting is also really good. For a first time with no experience or tutorials I’m actually surprised.

Nice lighting. You say that you don’t know how to move legs etc? Try and search for some rigs, and then put the textures onto there! You can then move every single limb, rotate and bend!

if you’re still wondering, you need to download a rig  good job with it otherwise! when i started doing gfxs, i was super confused and had to pull up a ton of tutorials, but i see you did great!

Well, not relly bad for ur first time, I recommend u use PaintRig and animate them, here some of mines
