First look of my project

Hello everyone, I am happy to announce that I have finished the map for my project, Just something out of fun that I did

I would like your feedback on my side project and how I can make them realistic and pleasing to players. I am also thinking of adding ai npc’s and cars that move around the place realistic lightings and more enterable buildings.
There are some other mistakes such as the traffic light in the wrong lane and others.

Anyways feel free to comment or give a feedback on any of the mistakes there is so I could update and give some refreshing ideas. Check the game in here at Southwoods Area - Roblox

That is all now. Cheers!

Your project looks really nice right now! Here’s some tips to improve realism of your game:

For the realism, use actual terrain grass instead of just a grass texture on the floor, and use the "Future’ lighting technology, found in Lighting’s properties.

Both of these should make your game pretty realistic already, what’s left would be to add custom footsteps that leave behind trails on the floor (the trails dissapear after a while) and make use of Sunrays, Blur, DepthOfField, Athmosphere and more.

All these things can propell your game’s realism to an all time high, however, can also come with performance issues.
Some performance improvements would be to

  • disable CastShadows on parts that are not visible to the player

and

  • StreamingEnabled.

The games model in building dosen’t seem a bit realistic. What I mean by that is like in the outside building design looks quite low realistic.
Try adding phyisic’s stuff in for eg. water physics as this would increase its realistic gameplay high.
Add small details such as bins/bench’s/a curb on the city
Revamp fences for school
Make all sorts of departments such as tow/fire/police department
Create roles like Police Department or SWAT or Mayor.
Be able to view inside or get a GUI showing up to buy something for example Burger Blox could sell burgers inside for 3$.
Playable/Touchable Reaction machines (What I mean by this part is the part where something happens when a player touch’s or plays a machine like arcade/atm.)

That’s all, Hope it helps.

You’re welcome!

Fellow @GnomeCode made a R15 footsteps system, this is his video:

The link to the asset is found in the description. Make sure to watch the whole tutorial incase you want to implement his system in your game.

Looks cool! One thing to change though is make the neon windows slightly transparent so it’s less bright. Not only because it’s day time, also so it’s less distracting. Good luck.
