Hi, I spent probably like 30-45 minutes total including rendering, what do you think of this simple pistol I designed? I went for a simple aesthetic and nothing too detailed because I’m pretty bad at modeling.
For this next one I messed with the lighting a bit because the barrel of the gun is hollow but it seems filled in. Didn’t work, but made the gun look lighter.
Looks pretty good for a first model! It definently has a very nice looking low poly style. Some critiques I have for the model though are about the barrel of the gun and the model’s overall shape.
The barrel on your model is just a black cylinder which looks very unrealistic. What you can do is press E to extrude and liberally press the right mouse button to add an extra face and scald it down with S. From there extrude the face inward to make a hole in the cylinder.
The guns shape as stated by @its_hennn doesn’t have any curvature. Try rotating the handle/grip so the grip looks more natural. Also, if you want to go the extra mile you could add a magazine by extruding the bottom a little bit and scaling or beveling the edges down to make it look like a seperate part from the pistol.
Other than those issues I would say the model looks really good. Thank you for showing us your model and I welcome you to the roblox modeling community!
The grip is actually tilted back at an angle, but I think the renders I got don’t show that off well. I’ll have to include the standard TOP SIDE FRONT views as well as the beautiful iso’s next time… I wanted to add all those small details but with the time I had and the experience I have I felt like less was more and anything I added would’ve just looked bad
