First post, fifth GFX. Feedback please!

I made this for a friend! It is my 5th GFX ever and this is my first post. Admittedly, I am nervous but it would be great to receive some suggestions.
(Also, don’t mind the text. You wouldn’t understand it.)
This one is raw:

This one is with effects:

Give me some feedback! Not just compliments or bad criticism. I’d like some focus on the rig.

The leg that’s shown is a little too stiff, and the neck’s positioning seems unnatural. I really like the way the text wraps around the wall though (I assume it’s spelled that way on purpose?)
Good overall though!

I think this is a really good base for an even better GFX! Off the bat there are a few things that catch my eyes as off. The main one being the pose; I think the body is a little too stiff, the other big one being when I look at this image the thing my eye lands on is the glowing square, which isn’t too ideal, you usually want it to be the name. One thing I do really love is the gray scale coloring! I just think it’s so different from most of the GFX out there.

As people said, the posing is pretty stiff and looks a bit off.

Try to reduce clipping on the arms too, and make him look like he’s moving.
Also uhh… remove the thing in the bottom left??

quite nice, your leg posing isn’t at all um… posed so thats like physically impossible, the hand clips into the torso, there is weird bright part, you can see an ending baseplate through the crevice, and parts of the text are hidden so make text higher. its really nice. what is high tier 16 and the thing in bottom left tho? make thing in bottom left grayscale if u want to keep it or just remove it.

pretty nice, you will become better. just try using a RIG like Ultimate Rig or PaintRig

Didnt u used a blender rig? Use some good pose. I can see that u have not posed other leg behind wall

In fact I don’t even use a rig lol
Thank you!
Oh yeah, don’t worry about the text. Just some vocabulary you wouldn’t understand.

No. I actually don’t rig at all. I’ve ran into multiple issues with rigging and I don’t like setting everything up. This is also the reason why my characters elbows and knees don’t bend. I just move the arms and stuff in Roblox studio then import it in!

Neat, especially for your 5th GFX. The conquering is a decently long obby, so I think it’s best if you include more of the obby in your GFX. Show some jumps unique to the conquering rather than your typical squeezes or anything of the such. As for the posing, it’s definitely a bit off. Make it more natural. Try to avoid clipping whenever possible and maybe make the guy face the camera.

Also, obby tiers are usually opinion-based, so the conquering wouldn’t be high tier 16 for everyone. Perhaps change the text on the bottom right to just tier 16 to be more inclusive.

Like a lot of people are saying, I would fix the legs as of right now cause it just looks like nothing has changed to them since you loaded a dummy (or rig whatever you prefer)

lmao your an obbyist too GG

  • I asked my friend and he said it was high tier 16 so I just went with that. I do agree with your statement though, it’d destroy some arguments.
  • I could’ve definitely studied the obby more. For example, I know ToG’s gameplay pretty well and would choose a good section. This obby however I don’t know well. Now that I think about it, I definitely could’ve had a better placement in the obby.
  • Yes, I do agree. The legs shouldn’t be as stiff like everyone says. Also, the guy would probably have one of his arms behind to keep balance too. That’d also fix the clipping problem.
  • The only thing I don’t fully agree with is the fact that he has to face the camera. He was looking out into the endless cave. Not every character should have their attention to the camera. Rather, the scenery or something in front of them.

Actually that is why u must use pre made blender rigs.

Like, that’s the only reason? Just bends?

Why u dont use rigs like

Yes I know about it when I came first to gfx.

I like this! Especially the effect you did with the text. As many others have said, the rig looks stiff, and also, the legs don’t really look right, they don’t look like they were posed. But great job and keep up the good work!

The legs just make it terrible, I’m sorry but there is so little to no effort because of the legs.
It’s really annoying to look at.

Don’t worry. Future GFX won’t be as much as an eyesore. I’m sorry I’ve caused you permanent blindness. Maybe a lot of medical bills and tears too.

Everything else is perfectly fine, I actually like it.
The legs though :grimacing:
All you really need to do it move is right leg up and forward so it looks like he’s clanging onto the wall
