First project feedback

Hello, I don’t usually do building and usually stick to scripting but I thought I would do a building project to improve and touch up on my skills. I recently visited Center Parcs and came back wanting to make a representation of what the lodge looked like. Could I have some feedback on the front, please?

This is a picture of the lodge.

This is my recreation so far.

I will be adding detail soon and hopefully find better textures.
As for parts, it won’t be going in a game so I am not worried as such.

Thank you.

Great start, this is obviously a very early build and there’s not too much to criticize, but you should

  • make the windows and doors more detailed (e.g add more frames)
  • make the gaps between the wooden planks on the walls shorter

I’m sure you know what details to add as you continue

No offence, but if you’re already confident that you can improve the build yourself, why do you need external opinions? If you are dedicated to building, your own criticisms are often the most necessary.

Regarding the build, the general consensus will probably be what Tehls has said; all you have created thus far is a wall, so I don’t see how any strong advice can be given.

Wow! I love the building style especially since it is your first try. I recommend that you should change you’re stud count to 0.2 since you can work with smaller and detailed objects. I also recommend that you also keep moving forward and practicing!

Anyways here’s somethings that you should improve on though but overall good job!
*Add some ground like grass and trees in the picture
*Add the natural sun glaze as well and the glass door.

Make the wood’s color a little more red and dark. As you see, it’s kind of an orange brown.

Wow I really love this one mate for your first time this is pretty pretty good, but change the wall material because it doesnt go well with the rest of the house, and add a bit more detail in the planks texture, thats pretty much it just continue the great work and you will become even better one day.
