This is my first gfx, based on the scp mobile task force alpha-1. any feedback would be helpful as I’d like to try and improve it.
I dont know what the exact problem is but it just looks kind of weird
edit : It may be the lack of shadows actually.
Way too much gamma
I would make the person in the middle a bit bigger and less blurred, but otherwise, great work!
The poses aren’t conveying much action, the scene looks like one soldier keeping watch while three others stare at walls. The spent casings and magazines imply more prevalent danger than the characters seem aware of. It’s a little odd they all seem to be wearing some standard issue gear, yet the central character is handling two similar rifles. You also have nicely placed floodlights pointed at the characters, it’s a missed opportunity not to emphasize the directional lighting being cast unto the characters from them. At first glance I didn’t even notice they were on.
the lights on the front are on, I’m just not very good at lighting so it’s not very visible. Although its offscreen, there are other entryways for the soldiers but they’re just not visible. I’ll also try and reconfigure the poses as I can see now they don’t seem to be conveying much action.
not sure if its any better but I’ve got a previous version here without all of the fog so the shadows are a bit more visible, the dust looks like snow though so I didn’t use it.
I think it looks quite cool
