Fact Book
Beluga Whale
- Favorite Food: Octopus, Squid, Crab, Snails, Clams, Sandworms
- Found: Arctic Ocean and nearby seas in the Northern Hemisphere
- Fact: Beluga Whales can dive for up to 25 minutes and reach depths as far as 800 metres
Stingray
- Favorite Food: Worms, Clams, Oysters
- Found: Pacific + Western Atlantic Seas
- Fact: Stingyrays like to spend most of their lives living alone, only coming together to breed or migrate
Shark
- Favorite Food: Smaller Fish, Intertebrates, Marine Animals
- Found: Most habitats: Coral reefs to deep sea to under Arctic sea ice
- Fact: Throughout a sharkโs full life time, they will generate upwards of 30,000 new teeth
Emperor Penguin
- Favorite Food: Krill + Squid, Northern Species tend to feed on fish
- Found: Only found in the Southern Hemisphere: mostly only on the Antarctic coasts and sub-Antarctic islands
- Fact: Emperor Penguins can swim underwater for up to 22 minutes at a time
Clownfish
- Favorite Food: Algae, Zooplankton, Worms and Small Crustaceans

Found: Warm waters of the Indiand and Pacific Oceans including the Red Sea and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia
Fact: The largest clownfish can reach 18 centimeters (7.1 in), while the smallest can reach 10 centimeters (3.9 in)
Blue Tang
- Favorite Food: Algae
- Found: Clear waters surrounding coral reefs in the Pacific and Indian Oceans
- Fact: The coloring of a Blue Tang is to act as a warning to predators that they are poisonous!
Sea Bass
- Favorite Food: Crayfish, Sunfish, Shiners, Trout + Minnows
- Found: All coasts from Norway the Baltic to the Black Sea, also off the west coast of Africa
- Fact: The largest Sea Bass ever caught was by a sport fisherman weighing 593 lbs (270.3 kg) in Anacapa Island in 1968!
Sea Turtle
- Favorite Food: Sea Grass
- Found: Most of the worldโs oceans, apart from cold polar seas
- Fact: As reptiles, Sea Turtles need air, though if the conditions are right they can stay underwater for hours at a time!
Seahorse
- Favorite Food: Amphipods and other invertebrates
- Found: All over the world in shallow tropical and temperate salt waters
- Fact: While living in the sea, Seahorses have horrible swimming skills. They rely on their tail to stop them moving.
Eel
- Favorite Food: Small Fish, Invertebrates, Crustaceans
- Found: Both freshwater and saltwater
- Fact: The Eels backbone is made up of over 100 vertebrae which makes it extremely flexible
Dolphin
- Favorite Food: Herring, Sardines, Anchovies + Salmon
- Found: Worldโs seas, oceans, and in some rivers
- Fact: The Killer Whale (The Orca) is the largest species of Dolphin in the world!
Whale Shark
- Favorite Food: Plankton, Fish, Jellyfish, Crab + Squid
- Found: Tropical oceans around the world, most commonly found in Australia
- Fact: Whale Sharks are filter feeders, while they have thousands of teeth they donโt use them to eat!
