As of a recent thumbnail update, a lot of hats and gear no longer render properly (if at all) on the avatar of users. It affects the thumbnail of the item itself, along with the thumbnail of users avatars. This depends on the format of the asset link found in the MeshId and TextureId of the mesh in their handle, though is not specific to the part containing that name. Not only does this apply specifically to these assets, but all assets. If the format is “http://www.roblox.com/asset?id=”, it is now incorrect because it’s missing a slash after “asset”. Originally, both ways worked perfectly fine. Another thing which I find odd is how both ways still render without a problem in studio.
Below I have both a correct and incorrect example. Everything is exactly the same, except for the asset format.
