[FIXED] What is the best way to create windows for my airplane?

[found a different method]

Hey! I’ve been trying out different methods and none of them work the way I want them to. Could someone please tell me the best way to make windows for the plane cockpit?

The best way of probably making the windows would be probably using the archimedes plugin for the window of the plane cockpit so that it matches up properly. That is the smoothest way I know without using another program like blender.

For a design as complex as this, I would personally resort to a design software such as blender. It is quite tricky to make a union to be curved like that and look clean, so yes I would design it in in a program that is suited for this type of modelling.
If needed, export the main shell of the cockpit and then model around it, so you have the right shape and size.

Hope this helps!

Hey! Very common question.

Aircraft Windshields are flat: like many others and myself in the past, you have made them curved. This is completely fine because Aircraft Windshields are THE MOST DIFFICULT structures to model.

I would watch something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26TVxY7DNxw

It clearly outlines the ways of struturing the nose although said tutorial is curved,

The above video is very useful for the flat structure of the windshields: from there basic negation skills will help you to extract the window shape.

Keep up the good work (
