Fixing lag due to terrain in Studio

Currently, I’m making a game that uses terrain. The problem is, the terrain causes lots of lag.

There is a lot of it, and the “mountains” are in the same areas, meaning a lot of it is visible. Is there any way to reduce the amount of lag without removing these mountains, or just to delete some terrain behind them easily? I’ve tried eroding some of it but it’s quite painful.

  • Lag mostly applies to bodyvelocities, I’ve tried doing the same tests without terrain and it stopped it, so I know that’s the problem.

Use the Select tool in the Terrain Editor to remove big chunks of the terrain and then the erode tool for small areas so your process would be faster.

It’s also hard to find places that can be eroded without changing the “interior”, though I haven’t specifically tried the select tool yet. I’ll try that in a bit, and see how it goes.
