Is this a bug or an unimplemented feature?
When you create topics or just reply to them, you can’t post anything for the next 45-ish seconds. This also applies to flagging, which is unwanted behavior. Say, I just helped someone with a coding issue and I stumble upon a rule-breaking post. Do I gotta wait almost 1 minute just to flag it?
This is intentional behavior because leaving a flag with a custom reason will count as a new private message to the forum moderators.
You can also use one of the pre-defined reasons, then it won’t count as a new topic.
If you feel strongly about this problem please raise the issue to Discourse or otherwise post a feature request in #forum-help:forum-features.
I do in fact believe this should be changed, so I’ll make a request for it here. This was not present a few months ago. If not to remove the cooldown, atleast lower it.
