So, what would you use to get the most distant visibility out of a flare gun shot? I know particles have a fairly limited render distance. What would be the best mechanism to use for a flare shot? Part with Billboardgui? Beam?(may have same problem as particle)?
Has anyone made one or have an example I could see?
i’d recommend using a particle emitter, making the rate relatively low, making the texture some kind of a lenses flare effect, and up the light emission.
Well this is what I came up with, the billboardgui ‘light’ (the circular part) can be set to any distance visibility. I think I will set it to 5000 studs. If you are close enough you will see the spark trail and smoke:
I also added a point light to illuminate surroundings.
