Flashing Dot prevents me using Studio

image

This dot randomly appears 90% of the time since the new update appears in place of the cursor when I believe idling for about 10-15 mins in a studio place.

It then restricts stuff like rescaling, moving, rotating etc… as seen in the below video and occurs when you try and move around:

Video: Untitled

It appears it’s like a macro but I don’t have anything installed of the sort. It occurs in other instances of studio, even including blank ones.

Restarting Studio fixes the problem on all places for a little bit and then its back occurring.
Anyone know what the cause could be?

That cursor is used when Studio is simulating a touchpad with the mouse. You usually get it when emulating a mobile device with Device Emulator and playtesting. I’ll edit this message when I start to experience this issue.
Does your monitor happen to be touch-sensitive?

Ah ok and no, I’m on a Desktop PC. I should note that I’ve reinstalled studio and now toggled the emulator and then closed it again but it doesn’t fix the problem.

That cursor is used when a controller is connected to your device. Disconnecting the controller should solve the issue.

Thanks, this solved my issue! I didn’t realize I still had my joystick connected and wasn’t even aware its controls were supported in studio.
