Flashlight is not accurate

I’m trying to create a flash light, however, the light doesn’t actually illuminate what you are pointing at.

Example here, the light illuminates what’s behind this post. It should illuminate the post though. Also, when I point at the ground you can’t see the light at all.

I’ve tried messing with multiple different properties, but nothing is accurate to what I am after

Lights don’t work close up.
If you put a Spotlight next to a surface in Studio and move the spotlight back you’ll see it has a 1 to 4 stud range where it won’t illuminate anything.
Also try changing your Lighting ‘Technology’ Property. You’ll see how different settings affect how Lights are rendered.

My suggestion is to try putting the SpotLight in a Part a couple studs back from the flashlight, so it moves the 4 stud minimum distance back.

I managed to solve the issue by changing the Lighting to Future :+1:
