Flick note readability problem

currently making a rhythm game

i have a note where you have to flick it in a certain direction for it to count
and i have made 2 designs for that note

though i’ve realised that players might confuse the note for a regular flick note

so which model looks the most distinct when next to the normal flick note
and how can i make it more readable

(the model on the left is for the regular flick notes, the right ones are for directional flicks)

for reference this is what the models look like individually

As someone who just uses plain white circles in most rhythm games (and someone who has also played beat saber quite a bit), these are just too complicated to read quickly.

Sure, they look cool but its such an overload of information that I can only imagine it being very difficult to read in general.

If I had to pick one, I’d say the second one as its shape is just ever so slightly different, but overall I’d just say to redesign everything because its too complicated unless if you have 2 notes per second, which in that case games gonna be boring.

The fact that they’re diamonds also doesn’t help in readability, if it was a triangle it’d work far better because then there’d be only ONE obvious direction its meaning, but again they’re just too complicated to begin with. (Also I dislike how wide they are)

That works far better, far more obvious what direction its meaning.
