Hello there, I’ve been modelling terrain for my game, I turn on the precise mesh collision in the settings, but even then, I still float on top of some parts of my mesh. Any fix?
Could you maybe send a picture of your situation? I don’t really know what you mean.
Im hovering above the terrain, as the collisions don’t seem to be correct. Despite me turning on Precise Convex
It kind of looks like you’re sinking in it, not hovering. Are you setting the mesh’s collision type? Or something else. If you ever come into a problem with collisions with unions or meshes, I suggest getting the plugin: Mesh Optimization Tools - Roblox
It lets you see where you can collide with an object. With this plugin enabled, you will be able to see which collision type is the best.
Ive set the collision in the mesh. Ill try out the plugin, I know theres a solution involving blender but it seems the topic was deleted.
The topic was deleted? It doesn’t look deleted to me- what do you mean?
The topic I used before was deleted. Not this one
Ah, okay. So did you get the plugin? If so, did it help you solve your problem, or at least let you visualize what you are dealing with?
I did download the plugin, unfortunately nothing really helped with my problem, I can see the spots where the mesh freaks out, but until then, I have no solution to this problem.
Well, if you can’t figure it out, you can make your own hitbox for your mesh with parts. This is obviously not the best solution, maybe somebody else can pop in and help.
I have to go now, so I can’t really help anymore. Good luck!
Go into edit mode in Blender, and select everything by pressing “a”. Then press Shift+N on your keyboard to recalculate normals. That could be the fix…? I’m not sure, but that is all I can help with! Good luck!
