Focus Clubhouse Rules
What is the Clubhouse?
The clubhouse is a space for Focus members to hang out, play with friends, put on shows, practice and even roleplay. It’s a space the staff won’t be hosting in, so students won’t be in the way and won’t be mistaken for staff.
Only players with accounts 30 days and older can enter the clubhouse. This is to prevent players who are trolling from making new accounts to rejoin and keep bothering members after being suspended.
What can students do there?
Students can do the following:
- Host auditions for their group dances (Unsupervised! You don’t need staff around to help you!)
- Host practice for their group dances
- Put on student run unofficial shows
- Hang out
- Recruit players for group dances or other student run teams
- Roleplay (see roleplay rules below)
- Play minigames with friends (without admin commands of course)
Students CANNOT do the following
- Pretend to be staff or host class like a staff member
- Host any official events like exams or competitions
- Bully others
- Fight over use of the space
- Force other students to join their roleplay/auditions etc.
NOTE: Focus rules still apply in the clubhouse and YES the staff can moderate inside of it! You can’t take the space from a large group who’s already using it and you MUST share when working solo.
ANOTHER NOTE: Just a reminder that players of a higher rank do NOT have priority over others when using a space. Only staff have priority and only when they are hosting (which they can’t do in the clubhouse!)
ONE MORE NOTE: Students are still allowed to use other spaces at focus for group/duo/trio dance practice or solos. They can’t do auditions on their own unsupervised outside of the clubhouse though.
Production Rules
I’ve said before that students are not allowed to run productions because they would be considered hosting. This is still true in the main Focus building. Inside the clubhouse is a stage for student’s use for whatever shows they want to do. They are NOT allowed to run competitions or showcases, only preplanned shows of their own making. You can also use the stage for auditions or just to show your friends a dance.
Roleplay Rules
Roleplay is defined as taking a pretend character role and acting out a story. It does NOT include hosting class as if you were a Focus teacher, but you CAN roleplay as a realistic dance teacher. There is a big difference between hosting an online dance class like our staff do, and playing a pretend dance school roleplay. The first and most obvious difference is a roleplay teacher would say “do a plie now!” and a fake host would say “do ballet R.” Staff are going to moderate for this and you guys can get warnings if you’re caught trying to bend the rules.
Here are the rest of the rules:
- No being mean! If someone tells you something you are doing is hurting their feelings don’t say “It’s just roleplay!” Roleplaying isn’t a one-way thing. The other person needs to be roleplaying WITH you!
- No pretending to be Focus Staff or pretending to host official or unofficial events.
- Don’t break any Roblox rules
- No dating/shipping or romantic roleplays
- Follow all Focus rules
- Do not annoy anyone
- Do not roleplay as a dance teacher/choreographer outside the clubhouse (you can roleplay as students anywhere of course, just stay out of the way of other players!)
- I repeat, DO NOT pretend to be staff!
Staff Moderation in the Clubhouse
Staff members will be moderating the clubhouse. You can receive warnings (or suspensions for serious breaking of the Roblox rules) while using the space.
I think that’s everything. I’ll add an FAQs section if people have lots of questions. Enjoy the clubhouse!
