Focusing in and out of Studio results lag spikes and latency [MACOS]

Studio struggles with high latency and lag after returning back in focus.

The cursor cannot keep up with the camera which gives the impression of a low frame rate.
All other tabs, such as Explorer are very laggy for ~30 seconds after focus is resumed.

This issue is significantly worse and more frequent when Studio tabs, such as Properties, are located on another screen are used. This makes any workflow with tabs on an external monitor very challenging.

Hardware
Macbook Pro M3 Max
iPad Pro M4 (using sidecar, but issue is persistent when using a tethered extended monitor)
Logitech Superlight 2

Expected behavior

An uninterrupted transition when focusing in and out of windows, including Studio tabs displayed on another display.

I have the same problem, which started happening yesterday. No performance dips, no extraordinary usage either. Changed graphics driver usage, nothing. Weirdly enough, the lag seems to “vanish” when I open the announcements tab.

On an additional note, I found a workaround from user FusionRay09, which worked for me as well.

Apparently for now, enabling Next Gen Studio from Beta Features → Next Gen Studio Preview seems to eliminate any sort of lag I had.

Hopefully the problem is resolved without the need to apply workarounds.

Thanks for your reply! The issue still persists when using the Next Gen Studio Preview. I don’t think this issue is related to the one you linked as this happens on macOS and has been an issue for a long time now.
