Focusing on the roblox window lags for a while before focusing

Hello. This bug report is going over an issue I’ve had for the past … two or three versions? I can’t remember the exact time it started. The bug is simple and easy to repro, so that’s good at least.

The issue involves focusing on the Roblox window after focusing on something else. The cursor will still show the current pointer (default for Windows) and delay about 3-6 seconds before it actually focuses in on the Roblox window and sends game input. During this time, if I right click + drag or do any operations in-game, they all lag behind until that 3-6 seconds is complete, then all of the actions I did play out really fast. It’s comparable to a massive ping increase for someone in an online game, where they freeze for a bit then just seem to teleport.

So far this has been happening to me 100% of the time, but the amount of time it takes to actually focus is very inconsistent. Edit: This has only really been happening when I leave the roblox window on my screen while it’s not focused - I have two screens. This may be related to a display rendering issue. If I minimize the window before dropping focus, it does not have this issue.

What’s your OS? I’m on Windows 10 and I can’t seem to reproduce this.

Win10.

I have noted that it occurs less in some games and more in other games. It may be performance dependant based on game resources. I am able to get this to occur in nearly any large game, though. I’ll look into a more detailed repro.

Alright.
