Follower count frozen despite new followers being gained

Over the last few weeks, my follower count has been steadily increasing due to a new feature I added into one of my games where you get temporarily rewarded with V.I.P for following. It has been working great, and just yesterday night I have reached 9.9k followers and I excitedly went to sleep.

I had my friend in a nearly opposite timezone counting down for me, and he told me that I peaked at 9,993 followers before my followers suddenly got reset to 9,763.

I checked my profile and sure enough, not only did it go down, but it has been FROZEN at 9,763 for over atleast 6 hours now and it is STILL at 9,763 as I am writing this message!

My game is at its peak for the week so if anything, it should be increasing by A LOT now. And when I check my followers individually (as in when I click on the followers button to check) that seems to be true. I have gotten over 2 new pages of followers but its currently frozen at 9,763 on my profile…

Here is a new screenshot showing my followers change over the course of a couple of minutes:

I have very clearly gained 4 followers in just a few minutes but it’s still showing 9,763 for no reason.

Did you try logging out of your account and logging back in?

It has been showing 9763 for both me and my friend for the last couple of hours, and I am currently using an alt account to check my followers (hence why its in light mode, I never use light mode normally)

It’s been nearly an hour since i made this post and you can clearly see now that I have gained 3 new pages of followers (Look at the bottom, I went to the 4th page to compare it to the images that I am replying to)

and it’s STILL stuck at 9,763

I finally figured it out, apparently Roblox freezes your followers once you reach 10k and removes all of the ones that are detected as bots for up to 24 hours.

250 of my 10k followers were detected as bots and were removed, and it’ll take up to a day or two for roblox to resume counting the rest.
