Follower count not updating after bug fix on 10/14

After the bug on Roblox’s website on 10/14, my team member’s follower count dropped from 9.9K to 8.6K. The main problem is that since the bug was fixed, new followers are not being registered at all. Their follower count remains stuck, and no new followers are being reflected, even though people are following the account.

We have proof of this issue, including screenshots and other evidence. However, we understand that digital proof can be manipulated easily, so we hope you can verify it on your end and take it into account.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open the Roblox profile at [direct link to profile: dev_dojo - Roblox].
  2. Have another user follow the account.
  3. Refresh the page, and the follower count does not increase.

We have verified the issue on multiple devices and browsers with the same result.

Expected behavior

When someone follows the account, the follower count should increase in real-time as it did before the bug. Any new followers should be properly registered without delays or errors.

It’s not very known, but when you hit 10K followers for the first time, Roblox removes all the ones they detect as bots, which explains the significant drop. After this happens, your follower count no longer updates instantly. It updates around every 24 hours, I’m assuming because each follower goes through some manual verification before it’s added to the count.

Intended behavior.
