FOR BLENDER | Realistic Grass, how do people go around making it?

So I’ve been trying to make grass in Blender (my version being 2.83.4) and the only good result I got that came up was using images, and putting those images as plain objects, and using the hair particle system in blender, and using the plain objects as the “hair system”, messing with the sizes and such, and got this result.

In Blender itself

An issue I’m having is it takes me around ~10-15 minutes to do this each time, and isn’t exactly what I was looking for. I’m looking for stuff that can look like this;

What I'm trying to get

While it looks nice, I understand it takes longer to get this kind of result.

I search a bit through YouTube to see if I can find any alternate methods, but they all linked to the same Blender Add-On which costs 60$ USD (which would be 78$ CAD since I’m Canadian), and I don’t want to spend that much just to use something on occasion.

I was wondering if anyone may have any sources, such as models that are similar to what I’m looking for, or a good way to get the result I’m looking for without having to spend money on it.

This is for blender, not ROBLOX Studio.

Bruh moment. The grass looks super realistic. It is a bit weird that there is red on the grass in a place, but I assume that’s normal.

Hmm? Believe you’re looking at the thing I was trying to get, not what I came out with :laughing:

You could find additional texture sheets to work with, play around with weight painting for the hair, add more lighting points, and add in more color variations since your scene is nice but has little depth. Looking at the example of what you want to achieve, a lot of that is just in colour differences, lighting, and weight paint.

Additionally, while this render has a Roblox avatar, the Roblox dev forum isn’t really the appropriate place to ask a Blender-specific question like this. You’d find much better advice much more quickly on Blender forums. You can look for more info on what I suggested above on those sites.

Gotcha, I’ll try looking there then.

I asked here incase maybe someone had a plug-in from Roblox that could make my life a bit easier. I’ll dive into those forums and try to see if I can get any better results.

So something like this?

well use this.
