Force field Custom Texture?

Hey Developers, Building ones in particular.

I had my eye on these force fields since they released to us. They’re neat, I enjoy their feature and the whole idea of them.

But when joining some games, I noticed they had forcefields behave different.
I’m talking about this:

Those gifs shows a blueish, purpleish forcefield act weird by outputing a hexagn texture then sometimes flash.

Anyone know how to get this or how it happens like this?

This can be created by having a decal over a part then making it have the “forcefield” material
Place down a part then make it have the “forcefield” material located all the way down
Put a decal/texture on it then you can adjust the colour of the “forcefield” to your liking, then you should be able to replicate this type of feature

Feedback

I would think this would be a custom feature of the game developer rather than a built-in function.

Thank you so much. This has helped me.

Try making the part a mesh and pick the square then set the size to required, add a texture: voila! You are doing it correct!
