Forum avatar updating bug

  • change avatar, it updates the preview avatar and the full res avatar instantly
  • change avatar again within a few hours, and it doesn’t change.

Waited til the next day. Finally my full res avatar appears in a thread, but my smaller forum preview avatar is still the previous one.

Providing kunena forum avatar links:

“Edit Post” screen is still bugged with the old icon.

Side note: if someone puts <hr><hr><hr><hr><hr><hr><hr> etc. as their signature, it creates a huge wall of lines, bypassing the signature limit lol

Had this issue as well.
Delete your avatar, then re-upload it.

Do you mean it should as big as an image like the size of mine, and not as small as it shows for me?

Hey man, not to be a bother but you can’t really have gifs as signatures here, at least not big ones.

I tried that last time this happened (a couple months ago for me) and it didn’t work. Eventually (after a few days) it sorted itself out. We’ll see how long it takes all my versions of the current avatar to update across the site.

Paint says your avatar is 36x36 pixels.

^ Updated my original post with more info, fromlegouniverse. If you go to each of the [strike]three[/strike] four links, you’ll see the discrepancies. Lol the size is not the issue, (as ripull joked) it’s that my old avatar is still ghosting around on the site

All of them look the same to me. It’s probably a cache issue. Shift+Click refresh on every page with the old avatar.

You can also stick

[size=300px]HUGE TEXT[/size]

as your signature as well. This forum software’s quite crap compared to SMF when it comes to simple things like this.
