Forum Question (Coming from a new member)

Hey! I am pretty new here, about nearly a weeks worth, and I have a question.

If I were to link, say a docs link, and a discord link, which just includes their rules, on the “Bulletin Board” would I get in trouble? Needing some feedback.

As long as the link relates to the subject, I think it’s fine! I’m not quiet sure.

No, you can only post links to Twitter, GitHub, Gitlab, YouTube, Twitch or Trello.

Only links to Twitter, GitHub, Gitlab, YouTube, Twitch and Trello are allowed. Do not post links to other domains (such as Discord).

In fact, when creating a new topic, it specifically singles out Discord.

There is really no point in doing so, because the forum already and explicitly states the rules here…

No. As the others said, only these links are allowed:

  • YouTube
  • Twitch
  • Trello
  • GitHub
  • GitLab
  • Twitter

Facebook, Discord links, etc. are not allowed. I would also like to remind you that posting a link from an allowed website in order to redirect the users in another place (for example, making a tweet which contains an off-site link and linking it in a Bulletin Board post) is prohibited.

Anyways, since Bulletin Board is accessible on everyone, even underaged users can check it. Services such as Twitch only allow 13+ users, even when not logged in. I reccommend you to notify the users about that limitation.

Quite a few posts appear to have slipped through the cracks then.

Since we’re on the subject, I have a question about this and I figure it’s better to ask than to make a new post.

Am I allowed to say something like “join our Discord (in the group’s social media links)”? Considering the links are only shown to 13+ users, this should be fine, right?

Referencing Discord isn’t allowed as far as I’m aware. You can say something like “check out the links in our social media section” or something similar, but I wouldn’t mention Discord. That could be seen as encouraging <13 users to go offsite or whatever.

Just flag them, I guess. What’s the point posting them here?

Alright, thanks! I wasn’t sure about anything, so I just wanted to get it clear.

Sorry about the bump, but can I put off topic links that aren’t discord in like Apple Maps, Apple Music, Disney+, Amazon Prime video, etc in

Since roblox doesn’t allow off-site links in the main site, Only these sites quoted are allowed in #bulletin-board
