Fov change lags game out

Whenever My fov gets changed ingame (even trough scripts) it permanently breaks my fps

that’s…

that’s… not…

that’s not breaking your fps, increasing your fov also increases the amount of pixels your GPU (or iGPU) has to render, meaning you’ll get less frames

As seen in the video I set my fov back and my fps stayed decreased

Bro, what is the problem with that? If you can still play your game fine, then you shouldn’t be worried with that, it is just a little thing that roblox needs to render, if the fps does not drop so much, then why make a post about it?

the fps drop to 30 in my main game and I have a pretty beefy pc

Is this even a scripting question?

This seems like an issue with your computer or Roblox.

Another issue could be a loop checking that if your fov changes, it does a certain operation that is quite demanding

(ie. Moving a part, this can be simple however is a intensive operation if in a loop
