I created some FPS animations yesterday.
What do you think? I tried syncing the sounds as much as possible. the frame rate and quility of the video kind of ruins it a bit but yeah.
EDIT: I noticed I forgot to change the gun name from M4 to M1911. The game isn’t out yet, but I’m planning on making an FPS testing place or an actual FPS game. Any feedback, Ideas, questions would be nice! Thanks for reading!

The animations are nice but a bit choppy. I think you should make them smoother possibly with changing the easing style to Cubic.

I feel the I did a much better job with the M4 than the pistols. I’ll see what I can do. Thanks!

I used Animation Editor to create everything. The pistols were a bit lazy tbh, but the M4 it took me an hour or 2 to create these animations. The reloads of the M4 was stressful and the inspect animation, because the mag for the reload falls out of the gun before the arm removed the msg from the gun. With the inspect animation the charging handle did the same thing. So I had to fix which less than 20 min. The fire animation was a bit easy, I wouldn’t say it was very easy, but I had to create a realistic gun shake and had to sync it with the camera shake.
To create the camera shake I suggest you use the rotate tool to move the fake camera from right to left. I may do a Tutorial in the future if I can.
Overall the camera shake wasn’t too easy with the reload I had to find a time stamp to put the camera shake animation, so it would synchronize with the animation to make it somewhat realistic. I had to do a lot of research by looking at 100 viewmodel videos and unique animations to get this right. I feel the the M4 is a finished product, but the M1911 & P320 needs improvement.
With that’s said, I highly suggest you shouldn’t create a camera shake that shakes a lot when you shoot. Do this instead: rotate it to the right a little bit and to the left a little bit, then press the play button on animation editor to test it. Hope this helps. If any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out!
