currently as seen in this attached photo, you can see my FPS capped at 30 in regular editing mode. I tried everything to fix it however the issue is persistent.
. the 2nd picture shows the Nividia control panel showing that the FPS for studio is at a supposed 120 fps. yet that isn’t whats going on.
I checked another post made by a programmer and they said they “restored” default settings in Nividia Control panel, i also tried that and restarted studio but to no avail.
Turn off max framerate cap in nvidia panel. For some reason roblox studio framerate is always divided if nvidia has a cap on. Idk why. For me it was 100 FPS in panel and max 50 FPS was in studio.
Unfortunately not much we can do here - Studio should not be artificially capping any framerates - we’ll see slowdowns and such where it won’t be reaching 60 or 120, but nothing that should lock you in specifically at 30. You mentioned “regular editing mode” - does that mean you see higher rates in other situations like local test or Play solo?
Out of curiosity, do you have gsync enabled? There was an issue long ago with it that caused studio’s frame rate to tank. I’m not sure if it’s still a problem but could be worth a shot turning it off.
This may not be relevant to your issue, but the latest set of Nvidia drivers have been causing havoc in many yet-to-be-discovered ways that game studios are generally recommending Nvidia users to rollback their drivers to a certain version number.
I have been in contact with a friend who works in the industry doing graphics programming and they’ve been struggling for months to get their stuff to play nicely with the new drivers, to the point that other studios are just putting their hands up and saying to use older drivers for better stability.

This may or may not solve your issue, but as troubleshooting goes it’s about trying different things in order to narrow down what the true issue may be.
