I have no events connected to the GUI’s visible property.
The GUI is intended to have hairs and the like in it, but as you can see it’s empty in this. It makes decent use of UI layout elements like UIGrid and UIList.
It legit just drops in FPS every time I HIDE it even with nothing on the GUI, and INCREASES whenever it’s hidden…? Here isn’t even a noticeable spike in memory usage. It’s disappointing really. This happens EVERYTIME I toggle the frame’s visibility
Sorry for the low clip quality, but you can see it does drop from 144 FPS, my limit at the time, to 100-120 whenever the UI is hidden again. I’m seriously clueless about what could cause this.
I really have no idea what could even remotely be causing this, please help, because when the GUI is full of viewport frames it caused me to drop from an unlocked FPS of 300 down to a pathetic 90.
This was captured in game, not in studio playtest.
Sorry if this is in the wrong category, I genuinely have no idea what this could even feasibly be placed under. I have to assume it’s something to do with my coding? I would supply an extract, but I don’t want to dump the whole script because it’s over 1k lines long, and I have 0 idea about what is causing this.
Could this just be an issue with my PC?
