The gui snap thing isn’t working. I have tried multiple things including re-installing studio, It didn’t work.
I recommend not using roblox’s UI tools, and just use the properties window instead. It will be beneficial if you learned how to use it now so you can be fast with it later.
I am already familiar with the property window, however, I prefer to use roblox’s ui tools as they are easier to use and faster.
I understand that you may like it now, but what if I point out it’s issues?
- If the frame is sized with offset (it is by default), it will resize and position in offset
- If the frame is sized with scale, it will force very precise and messy numbers like
0.483
and0.554
in the size or position.
The first issue will inevitably cause UI design flaws that will make it crap out on different resolutions, especially on mobile.
The second issue is not noticable until you edit properties directly. The precise decimals look ugly, and makes it hard to align things. It will also cause lacking of knowledge of how the UI is built, since you don’t know the position and size. Knowing what you set it to will make scripting easier because your knowledge is confirmed to be true.
You should get used to the properties window now. It will be slow at first, but in the end, you can make UI tons faster. You’d already have to change the text color, font, text size, etc, in the properties window. You can’t just also change the size?
yes, I can just change the size but thats not the point of this post. I want to fix the snap thing because it is annoying.
Sorry for bumping but this is really an issue. It has caused great inconvenience for me, I would love to hear a solution to fixing this issue or an explanation about why this is happening
This also happens to me, I am already used to using the Roblox UI tools and this has just made the process of designing UI more difficult. If anyone finds a solution, please let me know.
