Free private servers can’t be created, but paid ones can be purchased

Hello,

The following bug happens to my friend (@PolskiPatriota_1lol):

When he attempts to create a free private server, the following error message occurs;
Setting up a paid private server works without any problems.

By stumbling upon another post, I found out that Roblox has a private server limit of 100 (as of may 2025):

Private Servers cannot be purchased

Upon further investigation, we notice you have more than 100 active private servers. Per our current implementation, in order to get a new one, kindly deactivate an existing server and you should be able to proceed without error. Please check this on your side and let us know if you are still seeing issues. Thanks.

This could potentially explain why my friend is unable to create any more private servers.

However, my friend has already reach the limit of 100 but can still add to this number by purchasing paid private servers. He just can’t get any free private servers.

Do you have any idea what could be the issue here? Thank you in advance!

Solved itself! After deactivating many private servers, my friend is able to create new free ones again. Apparently the limit only applies to free servers.
