but the camera has to be zoomed out really far to get a nice wide texture. When I tile them, the grass is seamless, but its very easy to see where the texture repeats with the wall.
WOW! I found this new site! It’s not technically a texture library, but its one site that accesses multiple texture libraries (free ones), to quickly find textures!
Thank you so much for this post! You, kind sir… are a LIFE SAVER!!
I’ve been trying so hard to find good textures. The only website I recognized out of that list was CC0 and textures. Thank you so much for sharing more :3
yes. I have never had an issue with downloading from Vismats. Just make sure that you click the real download button and not an advertisement imitating one.
Also want to share this last website! https://texturefabrik.com/ is a great place to find textures mostly for use in design. Not so much as mesh, or part textures but more for use in Photoshop or a related program. I’ve still found them very helpful however when I’m in need of something like it.
You have to extract the zip file. If your on PC: right click the file and then click ‘extract’. If you’re on mac, then double click the file. Inside the folder it should have the texture.
It seems weird that this post is so popular as it is, but it makes sense. Roblox texture (Materials) aren’t that great, well they are good but there aren’t many, and not different variety of the same textures, so there isn’t a Grass1 and a Grass2 material.
Thank you for this. I know you made this post what will soon be 4 years ago but I cannot explain the pain I feel as a beginner 3D modeler with how difficult it is to find good textures for even the simplest things. I am working on modeling cars and access to the exact images of the parts used by the cars I model is hard to come across. Sometimes I have to Google Image search the car I’m modeling and find the right angles and crop the parts just so I can get them as textures for my model. Even for environments I have to recycle them from other games and I wish I had a better source. Again, thank you.
