"Friend Request Received" notifications are no longer being disabled

I’ve had the “Friend Request Received” notifications disabled since around when they were first released. Starting a few days ago, I began getting notifications for friend requests again.

Additionally, the “Notifications” tab isn’t appearing in the Settings list anymore.

Device Info:

  • User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/118.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
  • Platform Type: PC
  • Device Type: Computer

Expected behavior

  1. I should not receive notifications for friend requests when the setting is disabled.
  2. I should be able to access the Notifications menu from the Settings list (e.g. below Account Info / Security / Privacy / Billing / etc.)

This was an issue a few days ago with a lot more “Settings” tabs. It is most likely unrelated from the issue of the notification settings not being functional and simply just an oversight of forgetting to re-add it.

Hello, we will be closing this ticket as it’s old and we have verified that the setting is working for friend requests as intended currently.
