hello, i’d like to suggest adding friend/follower list privacy settings
i’m coming with the concern of people who have contacted me or have used my friend list with the purpose of harassment, targeted misinformation, unwanted contact, social manipulation or attempts to damage relationships against me or someone in my friend list
this is already a thing for UK based users, however it is not an actual account setting and is forcefully in effect by default
this would give users greater control over their privacy and help reduce opportunities for harassment while still allowing those who prefer public visibility to keep it enabled. for example, steam platform has this account setting. so why not add it?

You know how user IDs were changed, for “privacy” reasons, but in reality to mess with Ruben Sim’s EASi system? Well, he’s probably going to start using the friends and followers list for that.
Now, I do agree with you, that this feature would be nice, but I highly believe that we should keep it the way it is so we don’t block the EASi system from finding dangerous users. I’d rather stop groomers than harassers, even if both are bad.
We should do a poll about this, if that’s possible on Roblox forums, I’m pretty new here haha. Cheers

i’m fully aware that EASI and Rotector scans through people’s friend network for possible association with the community of bad actors, and that i myself don’t agree with the ID scope change as it breaks my own global ban database
unfortunately, privacy choice would both affect internal and external roblox API in this regard. and i’m coming with genuine issue about someone using my friend list to conduct harassment against me and someone
we should, but since development lounge section was removed, any non-development related discussion would be smited by moderators on sight
