Great! Now can we get this with the Creator Dashboard?

How to create your own “non-root places within an experience” ?

Any update that adds organization is a good update.

Just delete Studio And Redownload Studio. Doing this will download the newest version. If not see if your Mac needs updating.

I waited a couple hours and Studio updated itself. I was impatient lmao. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I always find the dashboard to be clunky. Hopefully them doing this sort of update will mean some changes to this. Everything is way too big, over-animated, and over simplified as many things are nowadays lol

THIS IS SO SO SO SO AMAZING!!! VERY HELPFUL!! Instead of having to open asset manager!!

This is also pretty sick!

SUGGESTIONS:

  • Can you also please allow us to organize games into folders in list mode though? Thanks!!

  • Also the ability to right-click a place, and make it the starter/root place easily. Instead of just like saving them to a file and saving as.

You open an experience, go into View > Asset Manager, and then right click “Places”, and click “Create New Place”. Then you can go into the places folder and right click > Rename.

Hmm, well the recent tab also shows locally saved RBLX files.

What about the “Recent” tab? It has the same functionality (but without saying the actual date.)

hi @Evercyan quick clarifying question here on the issue you reported: are you seeing the root place within the list instead of a non-root place (Edenopia)?

Yes exactly - the root place appears instead of a non-root place in the list, meaning I can’t access one place (Edenopia) through there - I have to open it through the website or via the Asset Manager.

I know I already complimented Roblox already, but this feature is insane:

This will make my workflow a lot better. Thank you once again!

thanks for confirming! This seems like a bug. We will investigate!

Having to click twice to open the list of places seems redundant to me. I think that an object tree layout would be more efficient, with an expand/collapse arrow on the left, like this:

This way we could also more easily tell that a game has more places without having to click on it.

Glad to see hints properly showing up on hover when text doesn’t fit, and this thing:

I wish all of Roblox’s UI would be made this well

Not sure if already mentioned, please edit me if it was, but can you add Last Updated sorting? Studio sorts experiences by this by default, but when you change the sorting you can’t take it back (until restarting Studio).

now I don’t have to use *.inetloc links to open places

Is there any update on this bug? Just checked and it’s still occurring for me today, thank you

Hi. Sorry for the late response. We have rolled out a fix and we believe this issue should be fixed. Can you check and confirm? Thanks!

All good! The fix appears to work, it even shows places in my preferred order. Thank you!
