Furniture Mover (Game mechanics test)

Hey, I’ve been sketching out a new game concept, tentatively called Furniture Mover. Right now I have some basic game mechanics, you can move furniture, and you can apply tape to hold things together. The final game will essentially consist of moving furniture into and out of houses as quickly (and neatly) as possible. BLOX31 and JamezBladze will be collaborating.

Pick up objects, move them around, and rotate them as you please.

Furniture Mover
Controls:
[ul]
[li]Left click & drag: Move objects[/li]
[li]Right click & drag: Apply duct tape[/li]
[li]Q, E, R, F: Rotate currently held object[/li]
[/ul]

We’ve already come up with oodles of other game ideas that use the same object manipulation mechanic.

Hehehe… this is fun

It knows no mercy.

I love the unintended uses of the tape.

This tape, it’s like the best thing ever! That combined with random furniture and the interest to tape them to unconventional places makes for a great game.

Yep.

10/10 goty

I think this thread just created a new game called “Tape”.

went back with someone else

We need to have a forum party here.

Perhaps I should raise the player limit?

Edit: I upped the limit to 10, obviously won’t take effect until new server.

To 50 players.

And remove that cleanup script.

50 seems a bit much for the haunted mansion map. Not to mention the lag…

I changed the regen script to a vote-based one, though.

give us a way to throw tape at people

and then make a smaller map inside a box like Clockwork’s Vertigo.

That would be SO fun.

K fine, 49.
We can fill the server up on saturday. :3

Throw tape? Not sure I understand.

If you try to throw tape irl, it don’t work well
