how do you lower the resolution?

I used a resolution application, however, it is not safe for some devices as well. You can find it on google play, but you have to do some requirements.
When i see something needs access through ADB, i say that it is not safe for many phones, because it grants permission to the devices, that are not rooted.

Well you’re not wrong. Though at this point i believe for roblox it should be more of a thing about catching up to industry standards rather than trying to push the same technologies Unreal or any other big name engines are. Ultimately roblox wont magically become better if they simply cram the engine with all of the latest new toys when we can barely even work with what we already have.

I do believe roblox SHOULD try to modernize the engine but again, i believe something they should be doing firstly is just opening the entire engine up and offering us industry standard features (like light baking for example). But yeah youre not wrong about the fact that roblox is slow to modernize, but again, simply modernization will probably not address some of the long standing pain points roblox has. Raw modernization may potentially even make those pain points even worse, but at least we would have good visuals so theres that.
Again, i get ya, but i believe a better approach for roblox would be to just take smaller steps and try to fix up and open up whatever we have, then expand to other widely available standards THEN eventually expand into similar stuff like other big name engines.

Also, Unity and Unreal are not actual roblox competitors. Roblox markets itself very differently compared to those two engines ultimately. Roblox works with an entirely different market, that while at first it may seem similar to unity’s and unreal (all 3 technically are game engine), roblox markets itself more as a social platform rather than as a development tool or game engine.

Testing it out on my phone right now, would really like to know if anyone has been getting close to 60 fps with graphics 6-10.

Some devices resolution can be unsupported, due to viewport of your phone that has been set. However, if you have a pretty much good phone, with resolution atleast 972x2160, you can use it.

Finally it came! I’m happy Roblox is caring about the android users but we have some issues…

I know it’s a Client Beta, but it’s very laggy even with the graphics set to 3.
I play on POCO X5 Pro 5g, (I know it’s not the better device of all time but this phone came 2023, a year ago). Most of the games I played on MAX Graphics settings (Doors, Pressure, Evade, TTD3, etc…) now I can’t because of the lag. I tested it on a map that has nothing, just some Pbr textures with future lightning and it was lagging.

We need a phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to play Roblox on max graphics on android now. It’s sad because not everyone can buy this phones in some countries like Brazil (My country) It’s VERY expensive.

And again, I know it’s a Client Beta, I’m just sending my feedback about this and I’m very happy roblox is introducing the Future Lightning to Android devices!

This is GREAT! Any good updates and changes for mobile are very good! As we all know, Android devices can and do perform better than Apple devices! I’m glad Roblox is becoming better on mobile!

couple days late, just wondering - most VRs emulate as an android, would this also work towards VR or not.

i know VR as an input is set to gamepad.

if not, would you ever consider making it a client beta?

Future is bright on Android is not currently rolled out to VR, but we are working on deploying it on VR too. Stay tuned!

it appears as if that the dynamic env maps are being applied to the atmosphere, this is the first time it has happened to me, the hell?

Wrong, the future lighting ambientocclusion is much more realistic. ShadowMap falsely occludes objects (even those blatantly under light) while future actually works properly in darker areas where light is actually occluded and is still present under sunlight. I did side to side and future is more realistic. ShadowMap believes “More” = “Better”…
