I don’t know if a special type of component is required to run future lighting or something because I’m on PC and none of the games works with future lighting even if my graphics 10
FINALLY! I’ve been waiting so long for this, I had a backup of my lighting settings that I made while this was in the testing phase and boom, published an update as soon as I could today:
That means you cant render it, it only supports vulkan, d3d11, and metal. If you don’t have that you can’t render it. Or you just didn’t enable it in your game which I doubt.
I tried paranormica the future lighting is enabled on that game, my friend can see the future lighting but I cant. I turned fulll graphics and dosent work
Yup, you can’t render it then. Sorry.
I’m not sure if you know but Future technology gets disabled at < 8 graphics level.

No it does not. You’re thinking of something else, Future is Bright disables on graphics level 3 and below
I love this update! It makes Roblox a LOT more realistic.
I’ve always wanted to use this lighting for my games, but I have one problem.
I’m not sure if this happens to anyone else, but whenever I try to set the lighting technology to ‘Future,’ my Roblox Studio crashes and resets the lighting back to what I had originally (usually shadow map). Is there any way to fix this?
I don’t know if it’s a bug with the system or if it’s my graphics card that could be causing the problems, but I’m upset that I still won’t be able to use it even during the full release.
i don’t think phase 3 will be a final version but phase 3 should be sticking around for a couple of years.
(For the first quote you gave) - Exactly. The fourth quarter is ending in a month and 4 days, and there’s still no update on anything.
this is honestly the best update so far, im looking forward for more lightning updates regarding high quality shadows and who knows, probably ray tracing in the future. great job roblox!

Phase 3 is the final version. There is not phase 4, go look a older versions of fib when it was a seprate studio, its exactly the same thing we have just with auto exposure which we should be getting soon separately.
After seeing this post, I decided to get to work on making a showcase for Future is Bright Phase 3.
It’s not a lot, but I have not been disappointed in the least. I tried enabling FIB in my old games while it was still in beta(which was awhile ago), boy was it laggy.
But now it runs so smoothly.
I’m 100% a fan!
