Could you maybe put your pc specs? future lighting is more demanding than voxel or shadowmap.
Future lighting is more intensive than the other technologies, therefore, it will lag peoples devices more.
future lighting is more intense lighting so it lag alot of pc even mine the whole studio goes not responding for five minutes
I3 ram 12gb and graphic card radeon 520 i think
Future lighting is much more intensive than Shadowmapping or any other lighting technology, especially when shadows are enabled on the lights. It’s still a new technology however, so it should become more performant over time though it’s probably not going to be viable on weaker devices in full games for a while.
ok, it is your gpu that is struggling here, i would reccomend turning down your graphics settings.
I would reccomend something like mine (iris xe) for 7-8 graphics 60fps.

I am currently using mac at the moment and even in studio I see a drastic frame drop with future lighting.
Hmm i get 30 fps max for 5 bar graphic
Oof, 30 isn’t great, try getting something like razer cortex for an FPS boost
Of course it will drop, lights are calculating shadow casting. If your specs can’t run that at a smooth 60 FPS then you can prevent it by reducing lights with cast shadow or changing the lighting technology.
yea but when i tested jailbreak and since now they updated it using future light suptisingly my fps increase and i can set my graphic bar to 8 for 40 fps but before i only can get around 30 using 5 graphic bar
It is due to having to lode the map rather than having it already loaded as a lower graphics setting results in a smaller draw distance. Loding assist causes more work than having it already loaded. rendering.
