Game assets not loading

Games which contain a huge amount of assets won’t load for me. They will just load up to some point and be stuck there, including my character. It won’t load at all.

I have a high-end PC so I have no idea why this is happening.

Specs:
GPU: Radeon 7
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X

I was with someone in a game who had a GTX 1070. His game managed to run really smooth with all assets loaded (just a few lag spikes).
