Game Design Help on cooking game

Intro

Hello there! I’m presently working on a game that is loosely based on the game Cook, Serve, Delicious 2. The game is a restaurant management game with building, cooking, and chores as the primary mechanics.

What I Thought Of

Building
This will be extremely similar to CSD 2. You may alter the wallpaper, the counter, the windows, and the flooring. You have the option of placing tables, which can be either tables or booths. Each table has up to four chairs and a light hanging over it; you may alter both the lights and the seats.

Cooking
The player has food for a constant stream of clients every day. The player can cook meals using cooking stations. The player requires the preparation of food to navigate to the order of the client at the station and then to take special measures to do this. Many orders can be modified by the client (e.g. hamburger toppings) and the player must ensure that these requirements are properly applied. Some foods need to be cooked and the player will be able to work on other orders. The UI of the game informs the player how much time is left on cooking so that they may attempt to finish the order correctly after the cooking is finished. The interface also demonstrates the consumers’ patience, since they will leave if their item is not delivered on time. A finished meal is assessed based on how effectively it was prepared; missing stages or components, using the incorrect ingredients, or failing to cook it properly might result in lower ratings and a reduced daily revenue. The day cycle contains lunch and dinner rush hour, which attract more customers to attend at specific times. Meanwhile, by using additional recipes/appliances or decorations the player may modify his menu. When a meal is finished, there will be a bar showing you how fresh and hot the meal is. Customers will pay more if the bar is filled.

Chores
Chores are essentially tasks around your restaurant to keep your restaurant clean. If you don’t do your chores, then your restaurant’s sickness level will go up. Some chores can include fly/rodent traps, taking out the trash, washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the beverage machines.

What is the Issue?

Since Cook, Serve, Delicious is a 2D game, I’m not sure how I can incorporate the cooking system to a 3D game. I’m also stuck on what upgrades the player should have and monetization ideas. What food ideas should be in the game as well as how to assemble it.

Thank you for reading!

Hello!

I suggest for making the game 3D, having an actual kitchen you can walk around in with different stations where players can visit and enter like a pantry for restocking, an area to make the sauce for a food dish and so on. A bit like the kitchen of Ratatouille the movie,

A few ways to monitize your game and still be fair for other players would be to instead of cash multipliers and pay only items like pans or spatulas to have for example multipliers for the amount of food you can cook, say the amount of vegetables you can chop at once. How many dishes you can fill per click on a bowl.

This way the game doesn’t have anything that can overpower a player, and the game can be fun to play even when players don’t pay for the gamepasses.

I love the project idea, I’d like to be a part of it. I’ve been programming for 3 years now, and I saw that @SteamDemand is also a part of the project, I see this as a great oppertunity to learn from him and the project.

Hey, thabk you for the help. For kitchen ideas. My idea was similar to yours. For monetization. I was planning for things called chill mode or zen shifts from CSD. I also plan to release expansion packs like desserts and batista.

As fir hiring, we can talk via discord kihyuntwo#4677 i would love to look at your past works.

I cannot add you on Discord, it says your tag is not typed correctly.

Check out restaurant tycoon 2, that has some good mechanics that you might like and get a good idea from.
