Game excluded from search

My new game, Murder Mystery Machine, was released ~ 1 week ago and has yet to appear prominently - if at all - when searching for it. This is crippling as most of my games traffic is likely to come from directly searching by name.

Expected behavior

When the title is searched for, the game should appear on the search and appear higher than games with less relevance to the search query.

My game has close to 6 million visits and has been experiencing the same issue for months, now. Something is messed up with the search algorithm.

You’ve fallen victim to the broken algorithm, or the lack thereof I should say.

Roblox hasn’t adressed this issue, and they probably won’t.

The same is happening to some of my games, yet it mostly goes away in a day after you add a thumbnail for some reason.

What ended up fixing this issue for me was spending a fair amount of robux in sponsorships + ads and getting a fair amount of CCUs on the game.

It appears that the algorithm only includes games whose creator(s) have spent a fair amount on sponsorships or includes games that have a history of big(ger) player counts

It’s showing up for me. ‘Muder Machine’ by Blaqk Magic, right?

I’m afraid you’ve been shadowbanned!

Yes, in the time since this post this has sorted itself out - still unsure as to why it occurred or how to prevent it occurring in the future.
